Claire Worthington has always loved textiles and the stories that go with them. Her inspiration comes from many places: Her “Parakeets in the Oak” resulted from a chance sighting of thousands of parakeets coming in to roost in the oak trees on Wormwood Scrubs in West London while “Temple Cranes” was inspired by her trip to the Himalayas, where she visited a remote Buddhist temple in a secluded valley, then home to a flock of black necked cranes.
