Michael Devine

Behind the name

Textile designer Michael Devine was raised in Illinois, where his passion for design was nurtured. 

Later, he moved to Paris, where he studied art history at the Louvre and French at the Sorbonne, before settling in New York, where he spent over six years as a style and party editor at HFN Magazine. It was this experience that gave Michael the drive to create Michael Devine Ltd — a bespoke collection of modern-traditional fabrics and wallpapers renowned for their chic, hand-crafted look. 

Devine’s fabrics and wallpapers are frequently featured in the world's top design magazines, including House Beautiful, Elle Decor, Traditional Home, British House & Garden, and The World of Interiors. Meanwhile, his fabric collection was chosen by French Elle Decoration as Best of International.
