Behind the name
Founded in 1837 and with deep roots in apparel, Abraham Moon & Sons is one of the last remaining vertical woolen mills in Great Britain.
All of Moon's fabrics are created at the company's mill in Guiseley, Yorkshire, where Moon manages all aspects of production — from the dyeing and blending of the raw wool fibers to the spinning of mélange yarns.
Today, the name “Moon” is now synonymous with wool interior fabrics. Certainly, no other brand specializes in wool or brings out its luxury in quite the same way. Their unique ranges — such as Legacy, Heritage, Classics, Herringbone, Eccentric, and Naturally Moon — can be found everywhere from traditional British retailers and five-star hotels to some of England's most notable homes, including 10 Downing Street.
