DOMINICA

Originating from an antique bed canopy in Penny’s archive, this late eighteenth century Coromandel-inspired design features botanical drawings of pineapples and pomegranates in two new coloways: Red/Gold and Old Rose/Duck Egg. Both colorways have been printed on wide-width paper to complement and match the scale of Penny's Dominica fabric.

Little Begum presents a recreation of an historic old English embroidery style from the early eighteenth century. Three colorways have been painted with pale vines set on earthy ground shades of Garden Green, Teal, and Ochre, while a fourth shows the flowering vine in delicate shades of Delft Blue.

Inspired by an antique Ottoman wall-hanging in Penny’s archive, Little Suzani reimagines the pattern as a charming polka dot. Playful yet elegant, it is printed in four ‘antiqued’ colorways: Olive, Old Gold, Antique Blue, and Midnight.

persian poppy

Drawn from the same Ottoman wall- hanging as the Little Suzani, Persian Poppy presents a stunning large-scale Suzani design, featuring highly stylized floral motifs, positioned in stately rows across the wall. The design is painted with a softly-textured and worn, patina effect, and set on pigment-washed grounds of bitter chocolate, earthy green, and antique teal.

A grand floral vine, Begum has been recreated to coordinate with Penny Morrison’s Begum Pink fabric. Inspired by a piece of 18th century Jacobean English crewelwork and designed as a ‘tree of life,' this grasscloth version also includes a brand-new coloring of pretty Delft Blue - perfect for light spaces in need of delicate pattern.

Inspired by jaunts to far-flung tropical isles, the grasscloth version of Dominica features botanical drawings of pomegranates, pineapples, and Malay apples in painterly tones of Indienne reds and duck egg blues.

JAMAWAR

Inspired by an early seventeenth-century shawl fragment from Kashmir, Jamawar features rows of intricately painted teardrop motifs in the style of a classic Indian Paisley, set within a delicate floral trail. The grasscloth version is available in five jewel-like colorways: Indigo/Red, Old Gold, Rose/Green, Red/Spice, and Garden Green.

Phoebe

Produced in a single colorway to coordinate with the fabric of the same name, Phoebe is a modern take on a classic ‘tree of life’ printed chintz from the Coromandel Coast. The design features charming  floral vignettes scattered around a central palm tree, with a vertical border running down both edges to create a unique panel effect.

If desired, the border can be trimmed by hand and removed so that the design repeats seamlessly across the width, thus creating an all-over pattern.

The Vasari wallcovering features large-scale frescoed urns set amongst a Florentine landscape of cypress trees and trailing flowers. Presented in a single colorway of earthy Etruscan hues, the grasscloth version is sure to bring a relaxed warmth to any interior.
